Built in 1945, Holiday Acres Campground, which is located in Scituate RI, has been a favorite campground for generations and for people from different ages. These days, internet access has become a necessary thing for public space, whether it is indoor or outdoor. Our role here is to cover the entirety of the 500 acres at Holiday Acres Campground with high speed Wi-Fi internet access.
Considering the significant number of visitors coming every day, it is important to set up high speed internet access points at the best possible spots, therefore they can utilize the internet access at its best.
Approximately 33 outdoor-grade, long-range access points will be mounted in weatherproof enclosures throughout the campground on poles which already exist. These access points will be connected via CAT6 Ethernet cable and will be capable of handling Gigabit speeds.
In order to support the number of potential simultaneous users on the network, two internet connections with 1 Gigabit internet speed will be set up. Each internet connection will service one half of the campground. Therefore, tremendous bottlenecks in internet speeds during peak use can be prevented.
With 8 locations and a corporate office located throughout the State, Chelo's is one of Rhode Island's most beloved restaurant chains. All 9 locations had slow internet speeds and copper line phones only allowing 2 calls to come through before customers would begin receiving a busy signal. Chelo's turned to The Ivy League Group to assist in implementing a new phone system.
A hybrid Hosted PBX / Cloud-Based VoIP solution was designed so that no one would ever get a busy signal again. As part of this project we changed internet providers and increased internet speed at all locations including the corporate office. We re-provisioned the firewalls at every location.
The Ivy League Group deployed the on-premise phone control unit to each location along with all the phones. Working closely and coordinating with the other vendors involved we were able to adhere to the timeline and deployment schedule and come in ahead of time.
Church is not just a place to worship but also a home for some people that makes them feel safe and welcome. Grace Christian Fellowship was formerly located in a store-front building in North Providence. With the number of believers who continued to join the Church it quickly outgrew its space. To be able to welcome more followers, the church decided to buy a church building in Woonsocket and move itself there.
Our job was to turn around this old building into a modern day church with advanced technology to support the preaching of God's word. We installed a state-of-the-art sound and lighting booth, large screen TV's to display bible verses and song lyrics. We also installed high tech lighting and speaker systems along with a projector in the ministry hall.
There are LED displays in the foyer of the church and in the "crying room" so that no one misses the message no matter where they are in the building. Additionally we setup high tech camera systems that LiveStream the church services to over 80 countries world-wide!
The city of Pawtucket is pushing a project to build a new waste treatment plant in the Fairlawn area that will affect the neighborhood in a lot of negative ways. To help spread the word and prevent this from happening, we accepted the request to build a website in a short time that will have the desired functionality and a nice design.
The important aspects that we considered carefully were how to send the message clearly through our website and how to allow visitors to the site to sign the online petition.
As this was a pressing and time-sensitive issue, we coordinated efforts in order to to finish the project and launch the website in only two days. Our main focus was to let the people sign the petition easily without having to navigate through pages in the website, therefore we designed the site with the petition signing area front and center. With a simple yet appealing design and structure, residents can obtain important information clearly.
The website does not only serve as a way to sign the petition, but it also links to a social media group (Facebook) that supports the cause. Social media is a great way to spread the word, so we provided social media (Facebook and Twitter) sharing buttons and a custom-designed infographic to get the word out!
